Crews called to numerous fires in Ann Arbor after University of Michigan victory

The Ann Arbor Fire Department was called to numerous fires throughout the city after the University of Michigan football team won the national championship on Monday, Jan. 8.

There was a fire raging in front of Good Time Charley’s after the game ended. Reporters at the scene said there were at least a thousand people near the bar, located at 1140 S. University.

Ann Arbor fire Chief Mike Kennedy confirmed that crews were responding to at least six fire calls just before midnight.
