With Illinois’ budget shortfall, experts say public universities could see major cuts
With Illinois facing a nearly $4 billion budget shortfall in the coming fiscal year, higher education experts say budget cuts to public universities and colleges are expected.

She says budget cuts in previous gubernatorial administrations, plus the added costs of the COVID-19 pandemic, leaves public colleges and universities in a bad spot financially.
