Get details on how to start and finance an esports program and understand the athletes who play in this competitive landscape at a UB Tech® 2019 conference track devoted to intercollegiate esports. Sessions will focus on how to build an esports facility, what technology is needed, and how to attract and retain athletes.
Developed exclusively for UB Tech by the National Association of Collegiate Esports, the track includes sessions on how NACE can help colleges and universities start varsity-level esports programs.
A case study presentation by Colorado College will describe the evolution of esports at that school, and will include lessons learned about what it takes to develop, grow and manage a program.
A culminating panel discussion will take a deep dive into campus esports, as directors, coaches and other leaders from some of the top university esports programs discuss, from a leadership perspective, the details of starting and developing a competitive varsity esports program.
UB Tech 2019 will take place June 10-12 in Orlando. For program and registration information, visit ubtechconference.com.
