Calling all Taylor Swift fans: Your wildest dreams are about to come true. The University of Texas at Austin is offering a class on Taylor Swift this August, and we hope there’s still a blank space on the roster.
Elizabeth Scala, an English professor at the University of Texas, will be teaching a class on the songbook of Taylor Swift this fall to first-year undergraduates in the Liberal Arts Honors program.
The new course is called “Literary Contests and Contexts — The Taylor Swift Songbook” and will provide students with an “introduction to literary studies and research methods” using the songwriting of Taylor Swift, according to a Facebook post by UT’s English department.
