Students at some universities have access to free delivery of groceries, cleaning supplies, N95 masks, COVID test kids and other essential daily items.

Through June 30, students who live in American Campus Communities housing complexes at 40 schools can order these necessities through goPuff , with no delivery fees.

goPuff has familiarity with the college market as it launched at Drexel University in Philadelphia.

“As a college student, it’s so helpful to be able to get food and other items delivered straight to my apartment. I wish I used this at the start of the pandemic,” said Gabrielle Boiskin, a Drexel University student.

American Campus Communities also initiated a “Be safe. Be smart. Do your part” resident responsibility and disinfection program to stem the spread of COVID.

Along with everyday household items such as toothpaste and laundry detergent, goPuff will deliver cold and flu medicine and sanitizer.

It also delivers notebooks, Bluetooth speakers, mechanical pencils and other school supplies.

“As we continue to navigate COVID-19 and with students returning to college campuses for the spring semester, we wanted to further empower our communities and residents to do their part in helping mitigate the virus,” said Jennifer Beese, chief operating officer at American Campus Communities.
