The upcoming UB Tech conference, June 10-12 in Orlando, will feature a program track focusing on campus IT, with sessions on cloud-based student success stories, a student-run computer repair shop, how mobile technology changed an entire campus, and more.
Among the presenters at these nine Campus IT sessions are representatives from Oracle Corp., Fresno State in California, Stetson University in Florida, Northeastern University in Massachusetts, Valencia College in Florida and other institutions.
Attendees interested in leveraging artificial intelligence in their institutions’ wireless LAN infrastructure will learn how Guilford College in North Carolina implemented a system. Guilford’s director of information and services, Chuck Curry, will share why the college decided to transition to a cloud-based wireless infrastructure, how AI works in the school’s wireless network, and how these advances can be harnessed to better meet the needs of students.
In a session entitled “Cloud-Based Student Success Strategies: Real-World Stories,” presenters from Central State University in Ohio and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, along with Oracle’s vice president of higher ed, will discuss the journey to the cloud. They’ll discuss how this technology is foundational to their student success initiatives, and they’ll offer some key strategies for ensuring a successful cloud adoption that supports student success at any institution.
