There was considerable reshuffling of this year’s top 25 compared to the 2022 rankings. Harvard, which was sixth last year, replaced Stanford in the top spot; the University of Florida, the University of Michigan, Vanderbilt University, and Florida International University moved into the group; while Dartmouth, National Louis University, and the California Institute of Technology fell out of the top 25. Of the top 25 schools, 11 are public institutions, a higher proportion than is found in many other college ranking systems. These institutions include four campuses in the University of California system.
