Louisiana colleges and universities spend a minimal amount on programs related to diversity, equity and inclusion. Those that do spend between 0.001% and 0.42% of their respective budgets.

Louisiana will face lawsuit over Ten Commandments school displays

Four civil liberties groups will sue the state of Louisiana after Republican Gov. Jeff Landry signed a law Wednesday that calls for the Ten Commandments to be displayed in school classrooms. The new rule applies to any school that accepts state money, including colleges and universities.

Diversity spending info from higher ed sought by Louisiana lawmakers

The new law requires school-level reports on all DEI personnel, programs and spending at all Louisiana schools. It's similar to a resolution filed last year that was defeated after higher education leaders fought back against it, calling the measure unnecessary.
