Clemson University announces Kevin Guskiewicz as new president

After a five-month search, Clemson University named Kevin Guskiewicz as its 16th president.

At a May 27 board of trustees meeting, the board announced the 60-year-old Guskiewicz as the 16th president in the university’s history, who will take over for Jim Clements, who stepped down on Dec. 31, 2025, after serving 12 years at Clemson.

Guskiewicz has served as president of Michigan State University for nearly two years.
