"The fact that there seems not to have been any decrease in the number of incidents is concerning," according to a new report from antivirus software company Emsisoft.
"TikTok's lack of data privacy measures are extremely concerning," wrote Louisiana Superintendent of Education Cade Brumley in a memo to school leaders.
Since 2020, cyber-attacks have hit dozens of higher ed institutions, with 41 incidents against American colleges and universities this year compared to 26 attacks in 2021.
Speaking at the University of Michigan, Wray also said Chinese Americans are "in the crosshairs of the Chinese government," which tries to recruit them.
Based on criteria such as hands-on program training, privacy and ethics, and government and national security, Carnegie Mellon University, DePaul University and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University rank among the top three.
