While few of the nation’s “top schools” crack Oregon’s list of most applied-to colleges – which is dominated by public and private universities in Oregon – each year, ambitious Oregon graduates are among those chasing entry to the Ivy League, Stanford University and other ultra-elite universities.
While for some Portland-area teens, the goal of becoming a “distinguished-school student” comes true, many more find themselves unsure what to do after learning their love for a top college is unrequited.
