UB Tech® 2019 debuts new track on technology leadership

A new leadership program track at UB Tech® 2019 will feature 11 sessions by and for higher education technology leaders, who will address topics such as change management, the impact of social networks and merging with other institutions.

Among the presenters in this track are CIOs, provosts and other leaders from schools including Johns Hopkins University in Maryland, Harrisburg University in Pennsylvania, Illinois State University, Flagler College in Florida and Lewis University in Illinois.

Sessions in this track will cover tips on leading the next-generation technology team and strategies to manage the effects of technology change on a school’s community. Other sessions will address the impact of social networks on student decision-making and how to use social tools to turn ideas into collaborative knowledge.

There will be takeaways on how to create a culture of inclusion and accessibility in digital environments as well as on how to build an enterprise architecture practice in a university environment.

University CIOs will share their perspectives on merging with other institutions and on how to prepare for the U.S. Department of Education’s new Title IV Audit Cybersecurity Requirements. A chief information security officer will share lessons learned from building an information security program from scratch.

UB Tech 2019 will take place June 10-12 in Orlando. For program and registration information, visit ubtechconference.com.
