UB Tech® 2019 conference to feature second annual Women in Technology summit

A pre-conference summit at UB Tech® 2019 will focus on the growing role that women are playing in higher ed technology jobs. Following a summit opening keynote by Nada Anid about accelerating culture change, Villanova University’s School of Business professor Alicia Strandburg will discuss a platform the university developed to create opportunities for women in technology and motivate those who hesitate.

Another session will cover how a computer and cybersecurity program increased its female enrollment by more than 300% in the last 5 years. Attendees will learn how to foster positive and encouraging relationships within this industry through original and curated content that educates, motivates and inspires.

The summit will conclude with a workshop specifically for practicing and perfecting networking skills. Discussion will revolve around how women can use networking to help shape career growth.
