The majority of higher ed leaders across the U.S. see many areas where their institutions can improve the effectiveness of their internal career mobility processes. More than 300 decision-makers voiced these and related concerns about their employee development practices in a recent survey conducted by University Business.

Higher education leaders cited poor communication of job opportunities and insufficient resources for professional growth, along with a lack of institutional investment in employee development that hinders growth and retention for faculty and staff, complicating their ability to navigate and progress within their college or university system.

In this webinar, experts in the field and HR leaders from various colleges and universities will explore the results of this internal mobility survey, while sharing strategies and best practices for fostering career development within their colleges and universities.

Key Takeaways:

  • Communication Strategies: Improve the effectiveness of how your institution communicates available internal job opportunities
  • Advancement Assistance: Boosting resource allocation and strengthening support systems to help your faculty and staff feel supported
  • Prioritizing Employee Growth: Best practices on investing in and developing employees for fulfilling career pathways
  • Improving Employee Self-Confidence: Creating programs that incorporate mentorship, cross-functional projects and job-shadowing to help employees feel more confident in their abilities
