The intellectual freedom survey being sent to all Florida public college campuses

A faculty leader says COVID policy, threats to intellectual freedom are 'concerning and demoralizing'.

An “intellectual freedom and viewpoint diversity” assessment is now being distributed to public university and college campuses in Florida.

The questionnaire to survey students and faculty was required by a bill (HB 233) Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed into law last June.

The bill was promoted as a way to safeguard open inquiry and intellectual diversity on state campuses. Opponents of the survey filed a federal suit in Tallahassee over it.
