State audit shows critical failures of the online college to deliver on its mission to serve adult students and provide essential pathways to careers.

The bill sought to shield the release of “personal identifying information” about candidates applying to be college or university presidents.

State colleges currently are permitted to work with school districts to develop charter schools that offer secondary education and an option for students to receive associate degrees upon graduation.

Despite the financial woes facing the state universities prompting some radical changes and pleas from university presidents for at least a 1% increase, the board’s decision will mean students will pay the same amount in tuition next fall.
