Pitt to raise tuition 3.5%, following nationwide trends

University of Pittsburgh students will pay 3.5%, or $668, more in tuition this fall, becoming the latest in a growing number of college undergraduates nationally hit by record inflation now topping 9% that is straining campuses already stretched by the pandemic and soft enrollment.

The increase from $19,092 brings the base tuition on the main Oakland campus to $19,760 and was approved by trustees Thursday afternoon. It does not include room, board and other fees.
