People Watch: First African American female president takes office at Bloomfield

When Marcheta P. Evans took office as the new president of Bloomfield College June 1, she became both the first woman and African American to lead the New Jersey college in its 150-year history. She served most recently as provost and vice president for academic affairs at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio.
