Even in the context of recent big exit packages for Illinois college leaders, the terms of Jack Thomas’ departure from Western Illinois University are generous. After stepping down as president of the Macomb-based school, he will be on leave for two years while continuing to receive his $270,528 salary, plus benefits. Read more.
