With replacement of the Interstate 70 bridge at Rocheport taking place a few miles away, a professor in the University of Missouri College of Engineering has developed a bridge-building curriculum for K-12 students.
Sarah Orton, associate professor of civil and environmental engineering, developed the curriculum with cooperation of the Missouri Department of Transportation and Lunda Construction, the contractor on the Rocheport bridge.
The curriculum will be online and free to teachers.
