Louisiana’s Legislature could expand funding for a program that allows adults to access free community college tuition in high-demand fields, but lawmakers will likely wait until budgeted money is expended before adding more.
Applications opened this week to access grants available through the M.J. Foster Promise Program in the Louisiana Community and Technical College system.
Adults 19 and older can apply to earn credentials in Louisiana’s growing industry sectors like construction, healthcare, information technology, manufacturing and transportation and logistics.
