Regina Favors, who now serves as interim president of Arkansas Baptist College, comes to higher ed administration from Pinnacle Business Solutions—a subsidiary of Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield—and the FBI. At Pinnacle, Favors was president and CEO.
Favors sits on the college’s board and has sat on the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Foundation Board.
Former president Joseph Jones was dismissed by the college this summer amid financial concerns.

- Amanda Thomas began her role as provost and vice president for academic affairs at Loyola University Maryland in September. Beginning July 2019, she will also oversee enrollment management. Thomas was previously interim vice president for academic affairs.
- Michael J. Lawler will lead Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences in Washington, beginning this month. Lawler served previously as dean and professor of the School of Health Sciences at the University of South Dakota.
- Tavarez Holston now leads Georgia Piedmont Technical College. Holston served as VP for academic affairs and adult education at Lanier Technical College, also in Georgia.
