Criminal justice professor arrested for allegedly shoplifting from Target

A longtime professor of criminal justice and criminology has been arrested in Georgia for allegedly repeatedly shoplifting from a Target store.

Georgia Gwinnett College’s Dr. Bruce Carroll was booked on shoplifting charges on November 22nd, reports local news outlet FOX 5 Atlanta.

Authorities reportedly said Carroll would use the self-checkout lanes to scan some, but not all of his items, and then walk out the door with merchandise he didn’t pay for.

According to the employees at Target, Carroll’s penchant for not scanning items and then leaving with them anyway happened several times.
