Construction Watch: Miami University in Ohio to build new health sciences building

Construction on Orange Coast College’s new Professional Mariner Training Center is now underway following a groundbreaking ceremony in Costa Mesa, California. The new facility will connect to the marine program’s sailing and rowing base at Newport Harbor—just across the street—by a skyway bridge over West Coast Highway. Read more.

For a time, Josep LluÁ­s Sert’s brawny buildings defined modern Boston. Sert (1902–1983) held the deanship at Harvard Graduate School of Design from 1953 to 1969 and also maintained an independent practice, Sert, Jackson & Associates.
