Bryant University in Rhode Island has appointed Daniel J. Borgia to be academic dean of Bryant Zhuhai, the first and only American university in Zhuhai, China.
He had been dean and professor of finance at Canisius College in New York.
Borgia has 15 years of experience leading higher ed programs for Chinese students.
He was founding director of the Florida Gulf Coast University Institute of Chinese Studies, where he developed exchange agreements with Chinese universities, cofounded a nonprofit Chinese language school and became vice president of the Southwest Florida Chinese association.
He was also previously associate dean at University of Nottingham University Ningbo China’s business school.
