NAECAD, the National Association of Esports Coaches and Directors, will serve as the esports program partner for UB Tech 2020, bringing seven sessions to the conference. UB Tech will be held June 15-17 in Las Vegas, at the MGM Grand.

“We are thrilled to have our friends at NAECAD working with us to provide attendees with these high-interest sessions on college esports,” said JD Solomon, the conference program director. “The addition of an esports track to the 2019 UB Tech program was a huge hit, and we expect these sessions to be even more popular at our 2020 event.”

The NAECAD sessions at UB Tech will address topics such as how to launch a college esports program; understanding esports athletes; esports technology; and esports academic programs. In addition, representatives from two schools—Colorado College and Florida State’s College of Education—will present case studies about their esports programs.

A wrap-up panel discussion covering all-things esports will be moderated by Jay Prescott, co-founder of NAECAD and Vice President for Student Affairs and Executive Director of the esports program at Grand View University, in Des Moines, Iowa.

NAECAD, founded in 2019, is the primary professional organization for competitive esports coaches and directors at all levels of competitive play, including club, high school, college, and professional.
