Sinclair College selects eCampus.com

After a competitive RFP process to identify a partner to meet their textbook needs, Sinclair College selected eCampus.com Online Bookstores to further its commitment to help students obtain course materials at a significantly reduced cost, while also providing a streamlined and convenient ordering process. As one of the largest community colleges in the US, the new partnership will serve over 30,000 students, representing one of the most substantial online bookstore partnerships in history. With the new eCampus.com solution, Sinclair is addressing their commitment to further improve affordability and services by providing students from all campuses the ability to save up to 70% off publisher list prices, including a price match guarantee and free one-day shipping to campus. Beyond cost savings, students can take advantage of every purchasing option, including new, used, rental, digital content, and an expansive network of third-party marketplace sellers. eCampus.com offers one of the largest in-house rental availabilities in the industry and represents a budget-friendly option that has not recently been available for Sinclair students.

Transitioning from a traditional brick and mortar bookstore, Sinclair will repurpose a portion of the physical space to provide a convenient on-campus package pickup location for online course material orders. The college will continue to run the campus store, complete with apparel and sundries, with the added benefit of packaging logistic integrations with their existing Campus QTrak system, compliments of eCampus.com. Students can choose free one-day shipping to the campus store with every online bookstore order, complete with mobile notifications when their packages arrive. In addition, the campus store will provide dedicated in-person customer support to assist with ordering and delivery questions, digital content inquiries, and year round buybacks. By reinventing the physical campus space, Sinclair maintains an on-campus support presence, ensuring that the new bookstore solution is a valuable extension of the Sinclair student experience.

“After a diligent RFP process, eCampus stood out as the only solution that met all of our needs,” said Paul Murphy, Director of Business Services for Sinclair College. “We look forward to being able to offer our students an easy, efficient and cost effective solution.”

eCampus.com will offer a seamless integration with Sinclair’s Student Information System, creating a customized ordering process utilizing Single Sign-On (SSO). With this cohesive strategy, students from all campus locations, including the main campus in downtown Dayton, Ohio, as well as other locations in Montgomery and Warren County, will enjoy the convenience of registration integration, offering streamlined course material ordering at the same time they register for classes. Further integrations with POS Connect will allow students to use financial aid for purchases in store or online in real time. Through these robust system integrations, Sinclair students gain an optimal student experience that meets their online buying expectations and ultimately drives academic outcomes.

In addition to student benefits, the eCampus.com Online Bookstore will also serve Sinclair faculty with a smooth adoption process. With a dedicated eCampus.com Management Team, faculty can receive desk copies to review and confirm best-fit content from a network of over 10,000 publisher partners.

“We are thrilled to partner with Sinclair College to further their mission of seeking an affordable course materials solution for their students,” said Matt Montgomery, President and CEO of eCampus.com. “Our innovative solution is paving the way for Sinclair to meet the needs of their entire student body by offering both an online and on-campus presence for ensuring students have access to the right course materials at the right time. We look forward to providing a new online bookstore standard for their institution that drives innovation and ultimately fuels academic success.”

Sinclair students will enjoy exclusive access to their eCampus.com Online Bookstore in Spring 2020. More information on eCampus.com course materials solutions can be found at ecampuscms.com.
