Regents look at buildings’ futures

As part of its quarterly meeting Friday, the Murray State University Board of Regents spent a considerable amount of time looking at four of the university’s dormitory buildings and what their futures might hold.

John Whitney, an architect with the Louisville firm Luckett & Farley, presented the results of a study that was performed on the Springer 2 (also known as Old Franklin Hall), Old Richmond College, Regents College and White College. The main idea behind the study was determining the costs to renovate the buildings, as opposed to replacing them.
