Bethlehem, Pa. (November 12, 2019)—Today, Moravian College announced it will sign an agreement with the Milton Hershey School of Hershey, Pennsylvania, to offer focused and sustained support to low-income, first-generation college students, and provide the resources and on-campus programs to help them graduate. The agreement will be officially signed during a ceremony on Wednesday, November 13 at 11 a.m. in Reeves Library, located on the Main Street campus of Moravian College in Bethlehem.

“Moravian College is very excited and proud to enter into this agreement with the Milton Hershey School and present a unique, life-changing opportunity for their students,” commented Bryon Grigsby, president of Moravian College. “MHS has a long and storied history of helping kids that dates back more than 100 years, and our entire community can’t wait to get started on this partnership and help their students take the next step and succeed as Moravian College students.”

The primary objectives of the partnership between Moravian College and the Milton Hershey School are to bring MHS students to Moravian so that they may participate in the support programs offered to low-income, first-generation college students, and provide opportunities for the leadership and staff of both MHS and Moravian to improve the graduation rate outcomes for those low-income, first-generation college students.
