Navy Hill would be transformative for all

The proposal to rehabilitate much of the Navy Hill neighborhood is transformative and will benefit the city’s workforce, our students, and residents seeking new opportunity.

VCU fully supports this project because we recognize that the progress of Virginia Commonwealth University, VCU Health, and the city of Richmond are inextricably linked. Together, we catalyze our region’s economy so everyone has opportunities, we help shape the culture so everyone has a place, and we build ways to engage so everyone has a voice.

Adjacent to the VCU Medical Center campus in the heart of downtown, the Navy Hill project, if approved, would help us realize the full potential of our nationally prominent city, university, and academic health center. A new Navy Hill would provide an environment commensurate with the high level of performance, quality, and care found at VCU Medical Center.
