GE Johnson completes U. of Wyo.’s engineering education and research building
GE Johnson, a Colorado Springs-based construction company, and The University of Wyoming, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the grand opening of the new $105 million Engineering Education and Research Building (EERB). The 109,000-square-foot building is considered one of the most advanced engineering learning facilities in the nation and extends GE Johnson’s enduring partnership with the university.
An impressive addition to the University of Wyoming’s College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, the EERB is part of the school’s Tier-1 Engineering Initiative. The state-of-the-art facility is the most ambitious construction project in the 133-year history of the university, promoting engineering research and education and interdisciplinary collaboration, and supporting a wide range of subjects.
