Ga. education commission, Savannah area colleges offer assistance to Va. College students

The Georgia Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission is offering assistance for Virginia College students who want to complete their educational programs or receive a tuition refund for programs not yet attended at the for-profit school that said it was closing this month.

More than 1,000 Georgia students were affected by the Dec. 18 closing of Virginia College’s four Georgia campuses, including the Savannah Mall location, said Corinna Robinson, executive director of the Georgia commission. The commission regulates private postsecondary colleges in Georgia.
