3 Pa. state universities look to form a partnership, combining educational programs and staff

A financial analysis of the benefits of pairing up some of Pennsylvania’s state universities has given rise to a new idea of combining three of them – Clarion, California and Edinboro universities- essentially into a single institution that would preserve all three campuses.

Touting this proposed move as one that would change the face of higher education in western Pennsylvania, the presidents of the three universities say this affiliation would expand the educational offerings for students while positioning these institutions for growth and greater efficiency.
