Matt Holden remembers voices speaking in at least five different languages and accents making up a dinner conversation in Mongolia last fall.
”I just sat back and thought, ‘Wow, this is so cool.’ It’s such a diverse world, but we were all similar in that moment,” said the Western Michigan University senior who studied abroad in China last fall.
That moment is one way to illustrate the overarching goal for Western Michigan University’s strategic three-year plan to become a more prominent international institution.
President John Dunn announced the plan on Friday during his annual State of the University address.
