University of Saskatchewan appoints new finance VP

The University of Saskatchewan (Canada) has a new vice president of finance and resources.

Greg Fowler was unanimously appointed to the position by the board of governors to serve a five-year term starting on June 1.

He has been acting in the position since April 2012 after the former vice-president, Richard Florizone, was seconded to the World Bank Group for six months and then named the new president of Dalhousie University.

“After a comprehensive national search, Greg was unanimously recommended by the search committee for this important position,” said University President Ilene Busch-Vishniac.
