University of California San Francisco Webcasts Over Two Thousand Classes in 10 Months via Mediasite Lecture Capture Technology

Sonic Foundry, Inc., the trusted market leader for lecture capture, enterprise and event webcasting, today announced that the University of California San Francisco’s selection of Mediasite as its lecture capture and video content management platform has received positive feedback from faculty and students alike.

In the spring of 2011, after a failed lecture capture launch with another vendor, UCSF switched to Mediasite by Sonic Foundry. The school was seeking a platform with a robust video content management system, the ability to stream live lectures to mobile devices and easy integration for rapid deployment. UCSF has now webcasted 2,050 Mediasite presentations in just 10 months with 63,000 views, making it the largest number of classes DeAngelo has recorded in such a short amount of time.
