Shortly after applying for university status, St. Peter's College has received word from New Jersey's Secretary of Higher Education.
"I am pleased to announce that Rochelle Hendricks, New Jersey's Secretary of Higher Education, has approved the College’s application for university designation," President Eugene J. Cornacchia said in an email to students.
"This designation is an integral part of our strategic plan to generate market recognition as the comprehensive educational institution that we are," he continued.
"Nevertheless, we will forever maintain our commitment to personal attention and to a Jesuit education founded on the liberal arts, which has defined us for 140 years."
