Hudson County Community College has been named a finalist for one of the American Association of Community College’s New Awards of Excellence.
HCCC is the only New Jersey two-year college in the running for the organization’s Student Success Award. Twenty-five schools across the nation are competing.
The AACC Student Success Award recognizes a community college that has demonstrated a sustained commitment to and proactively advanced the cause of student success at a community college or community colleges, officials said.
This criteria includes on-time èdegree completion, certificate completion, and students who transferred from two-year to four-year institutions.
“It’s an honor for Hudson County Community College to be selected as a finalist, and to be recognized for the work being done to help ensure that our students succeed,” said HCCC president Glen Gabert.
