Ball State University’s year-old recruiting campaign to enroll New Jersey high schoolers has tripled the number of Garden State freshmen arriving on campus this fall compared to a year ago.
In the fall of 2011, Ball State welcomed two freshmen from New Jersey.
“We’re still scrambling with the data, but it looks like we have six this fall,” said Tom Taylor, vice president for enrollment, marketing and communication.
Given the fact that the university spent about $200,000 on the initiative, six students might sound laughable.
