For the second time in three months, faculty at Alabama A&M University expressed concerns over a lack of pay raises to university officials.
During today's board of trustees meeting, Faculty Senate President Marjorie Battle - a non-voting member of the trustees - led her report with the fact that faculty have not seen a bump in pay for five years.
Between no bump in pay and increasing health care benefits, Battle wrote to the board that, "continued service to the institution has become financial suicide."
Battle voiced the same concerns at the December board meeting.
